Deliverables

1)

Satisfaction of standards, monitoring and data evaluation.

o Surveys are being collected from relevant stakeholders; that may include but not limited to, surveyors, client organizations, governmental authorities, non- governmental organizations, experts and others.

o Survey worksheets of client healthcare facilities/ services
o Survey worksheets of surveyors

2)

Establishing need for new standards

o Feedback of the relevant stakeholders are being analyzed and discussed in technical meetings to validate the results and have a decision for the need of updating/revising the current manual of standards.

3)

Team formulation

o The General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation(GAHAR) announces that it is in the process of developing a new Handbook of standards, and send for different stakeholders to support with subject matter experts that may be part of the development team .

o GAHAR Standards development team.

4)

Team orientation and training

o The Standards Research and Development Department of GAHAR prepares orientation and training workshops for the selected subject matter experts on the requirements and needs for writing standards and the main components of the policy. 

o Orientation and training material.

5)

Creating the work items and framework

o The standards development team and Standards Research and Development Department of GAHAR both create the desired work items and the chapters' layouts for the Handbook under the supervision of GAHAR Board.

o The Handbook’s framework.  

6)

Developing the draft standards

o The standards development team meets at least once a week to discuss and highlight the formulation of the standards Handbook successively.

o The first draft version of the handbook. 

7)

Validating the draft

o The draft version is validated for its ambiguous words, standards’ scoring related to evidence of compliance and the distribution and redundancy of the standards in the different chapters in the Handbook. 

o The validation worksheets and  recommendations report.

8)

External Expert Review

o External Expert Review: The draft version for the GAHAR Handbook for healthcare standards is to be sent for selected experts for their recommendations and feedback on the draft version.

o The external expert review report

9)

Field testing and piloting survey

o Field Testing: The draft version for the GAHAR Handbook for healthcare standards is to be submitted for a sample of healthcare facilities to test the standards applicability, feasibility, workability and contradiction.

o Pilot survey: The draft version for the GAHAR Handbook for healthcare standards is to be submitted for surveyors testing in healthcare facilities to test the inter-rater variability of the standards measurement through scoring, workability and other factors.

o The field-testing reports.

o The standard evaluation report by the pilot survey.

 

10)

Internal review committee 

o Analyse the feedback reports of the external expert review, field testing and the piloting survey to in cooperate valuable comments in the draft handbook of healthcare standards.

o The second draft version of the handbook 

11)

Submit the draft for editorial checking

o The draft Handbook is being revised for editing and proofreading after the cooperation of the valid external, field testing and pilot survey feedback.

o The final draft version of the Handbook

12)

Working on ISQua accreditation

o Contacting the International society for Quality in Health care (ISQua) for having the GAHAR Handbook for healthcare standards accredited according to the Guidelines and principles for the development of healthcare standards 5th edition version 1.0, September 2018.D14

o The completion and submission of the Self-Assessment Tool and the fulfillment of all ISQua requirement till the Handbook accreditation.

13)

Approval of the standards

o The final draft version of GAHAR Handbook for healthcare standards is submitted for approval by GAHAR Board.

o The approved GAHAR Handbook for healthcare facilities standards by GAHAR Board.
o  The Approval decision.

14)

Implementation of the standards

· The GAHAR Handbook for healthcare facilities standards is implemented after the ISQua accreditation, and to be effective for accreditation by the organizations. 

o The upload of the soft copy of GAHAR Handbook for healthcare standards.
o  The Approval decision.
o   Launching conference.
o   Social media.
o   Mass emailing.
o   Educational brochures and posters.
o   Training workshops.
o   Online orientation webinars for client healthcare facilities.
o   Onsite Orientation programs for client healthcare facilities
o   Training workshops.

15)

Maintain and evolve the standards

o Continuous monitoring for the latest regulatory, professional or other accrediting organization's publications.
o Continuous feedback report from the Healthcare Registration and Accreditation Department of GAHAR through the accreditation survey reports.
o Continuous feedback report from the Regulation Department to validate the long term compliance of the standards in the healthcare facilities
